Swim – Olympic Distance
• The swim will take place in Farka Lake, Tirana.
• All participants will be provided with a BIB number.
• Participants must bring their own swimming goggles and swimwear (as considered necessary by each participant).
• Paddles, gloves, or any other swimming aids are not allowed.
• Swim distance – 1500 m, swim course – 1 lap.
• The swim will start at Hellen Park (the swim direction is clockwise).
• Swim straight and keep all buoys/lane markers on your right side.
• Drafting (swimming behind another swimmer) is allowed.
• During the swim, small boats will be present to monitor the athletes.
• The swim will take place in Farka Lake, Tirana.
• All participants will be provided with a BIB number.
• Participants must bring their own swimming goggles and swimwear (as considered necessary by each participant).
• Paddles, gloves, or any other swimming aids are not allowed.
• Swim – 750 m, swim course – 1 lap.
• The swim will start at Parku Helen.
• Swim 375 meters straight while keeping the buoys/lane markers on your right side, then make a turn and swim 375 meters back, again keeping the buoys/lane markers on your right side.
• Drafting (swimming behind another swimmer) is allowed.
• During the swim, small boats will be present to monitor the athletes.
• After finishing the swim, exit the swim course and run approximately 50 meters to reach the transition area.
• No family members or coaches are allowed in the transition areas – athletes will be assisted only by volunteers.
• Swim equipment (goggles, caps, swimwear) must be placed inside the designated bag that will be provided to each participant by the organizers. This bag will also contain the cycling equipment (helmet, energy gel, etc.).
• Bike racks are numbered – you must place your bicycle in your assigned spot (number).
• Bicycles and helmets must be brought by the participants and left in the transition area before the race begins.
• It is mandatory for participants to put on their cycling helmet before starting to ride.
• Cycling in the transition area is strictly prohibited; participants must start riding only in the designated area after exiting the transition zone.
• The bike course is closed to traffic.
• Always ride on the right side of the road and never ride in the opposite direction.
• After exiting the transition area, you may mount your bike and start cycling only after crossing the designated line on the road.
• The bike course will be clearly marked, and barriers and road blocks will be placed to guide the athletes.
Follow the bike course as below:
• Go straight for 400 m and then turn right.
• After 600 m, make a sharp left turn (near the Qep village cemetery).
• After 700 m, continue toward the Farka roundabout.
• After 300 m, pass on the right side of the roundabout toward the highway leading to TEG Shopping Center.
• TEG roundabout – continue straight toward “Pallati me Shigjeta” (the Bridge) and then turn back at the TEG roundabout.
• Then follow the same route back to Parku Helen, the transition area where the cycling segment started.
• Cycling in the transition area is strictly prohibited; participants must dismount before the transition line.
• Drafting is NOT allowed; the distance between two cyclists must be at least 10 meters. (Penalty applies in case of violation.)
• Electric bicycles are NOT allowed.
• Red flags will be raised by volunteers to signal specific points on the route where cyclists must reduce speed.
• The bike course is closed to traffic.
• Always ride on the right side of the road and never ride in the opposite direction.

• Cycling in the transition area is strictly prohibited; participants must dismount before the transition line.
• Drafting is NOT allowed; the distance between two cyclists must be at least 10 meters. (Penalty applies in case of violation.)
• Electric bicycles are not allowed.

• Cycling in the transition area is strictly prohibited; participants must walk their bicycle by hand before the transition line.
• Athletes must place their bicycle in the same numbered spot where it was positioned before the cycling segment.
• Cycling equipment (helmet, etc.) must be placed inside the designated bag provided to each athlete by the organizers. This bag will also contain the running equipment (shoes, socks, sunglasses, running cap, energy gel, etc.).
OLYMPIC DISTANCE: 10 KM – 2 LAPS SPRINT DISTANCE: 5 KM – 1 LAP
• The run will start after the transition area.
• After leaving the transition area, turn right and run along Farka Lake.
• Follow the lakeside promenade until the lake dam.
• Run along the dam, then turn right and continue running until the end of the promenade, where you must turn back.
• Then follow the same route back to Hellen Park, where you will make another turn toward the Transition Area (2 laps for the Olympic distance, 1 lap for the Sprint distance), where the race finishes.
There will be 4 physical stations for water and energy supplies located in the following areas:
• Transition Area
• TEG Shopping Center Roundabout
• Pallati me Shigjeta – Bridge
• 2.5 km from the start of the run
200 volunteers will support the athletes during the race in the following areas:
• Athletes’ swim exit
• Transition area
• Along the bike course
• Along the run course
All athletes must respect the race rules and follow the designated course.
Failure to comply with the race rules will result in disqualification by the race officials.
Athletes’ times will be measured using an electronic timing chip.
The chip will be placed on the left ankle. The chip must be worn from the start of the swim until the race finish line.
The chip must be returned to the organizers immediately after the race.
Results will be displayed in real time during the race and will be sent by email to all participants immediately after the race.
Timing will be recorded for:
• Swim
• Transition 1
• Bike
• Transition 2
• Run / Finish

The 6th edition of Tiranathlon with Olympic and sprint distances will take place May 24th Farka Lake, Tirana.
